Sentry Hill Legal LLC ("Sentry Hill Legal," "the Firm," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information through our website at sentryhilllegal.com (the "Site"), our email communications, and our events (together, the "Services").
This Policy does not govern information we receive while representing clients. That information is protected by the attorney-client privilege, our duty of confidentiality under the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Rules of Professional Conduct, and our engagement terms. It also does not cover job applicants' information collected outside the Site, or third-party websites linked from the Site.
By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.
-
Using the Site, submitting a form, or emailing a Firm attorney or staff does not create an attorney-client relationship. A relationship exists only after we have cleared conflicts and you have signed a written engagement agreement with the Firm.
Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through the Site or by unsolicited email. Until we agree to represent you, information you send may not be treated as privileged or confidential, and it will not prevent us from representing another party in the same or a related matter.
Content on the Site is for general information only and is not legal advice. This Site may be considered attorney advertising. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
-
Information you provide. When you contact us, subscribe to updates, or register for an event, we may collect:
Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, and job title
The content of your message or inquiry, including any description of a legal matter
Subscription and communication preferences
Event details, such as dietary or accessibility needs you choose to share
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and general location derived from your IP address. If you open our emails, we may learn whether and when you opened them and which links you clicked.
Information from other sources. We may receive information about you from referral sources, co-counsel, event co-sponsors, and publicly available sources such as professional networking sites, and combine it with information we already hold.
-
We use personal information to:
Respond to your inquiries and evaluate potential engagements, including running conflict checks
Send legal updates, newsletters, and event invitations you have requested
Organize and administer events and webinars
Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site
Understand how visitors use the Site and measure the effectiveness of our communications
Comply with legal, regulatory, and professional obligations, and establish or defend legal claims
Protect the rights, property, and safety of the Firm, our clients, and others
We may also use information that has been aggregated or de-identified so it no longer identifies you, for any lawful purpose.

Do Not Track. The Site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
-
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may share it with:
Service providers that host the Site, send our emails, manage our contacts, or provide analytics, IT, and security services. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
Event co-sponsors and venues, when you register for an event we host with them, to the extent needed to run the event.
Professional advisers, such as auditors, insurers, and outside counsel, under duties of confidentiality.
